“I’ve always been entranced by the beauty of horses. With the encouragement of an artistic family I would endlessly observe their grace of movement and form, and strive to capture that essence with my pencil and paintbrush. An absolute understanding of the anatomy and the spirit of my subjects  underpins my creative output.

 Watercolour, pencil and charcoal are my mediums of choice for portrait commissions as they have a delicacy that allows the character of the sitter to shine through and engage the viewer. I'm always experimenting, challenging myself to find new ways to describe the world, and my mission as an artist is to share with others the beauty that I see and feel. 

 I enjoy creating emotive pieces using the horse as a visual metaphor to convey a sense of freedom, nobility, gentleness or power . . . artworks to please the eye, and touch the soul.”
